See base area of spiral sculpture tower on Picture 1 for further orientation and correspondence with Picture 2 above.  There are four square reflecting pools.  One is aligned on the compass precisely with Shanksville.  One is aligned on the compass precisely with the Pentagon.  There is one reflecting pool located in the center of each of the two Tower Footprints (these two pools correspond with the tragedies at the World Trade Center Site including with respect to both Towers on September 11, 2001 and the February 26, 1993 tragedy as well).  Water will flow from each of these pools in a slow, tranquil, and peaceful fashion to reach the center circular pool of water (an 1800 foot spiral sculpture tower will arise from this pool of water as shown and described in other pages in this website).

“H” (in a circle on the drawing above) marks the site of a sculpture of heroes (separate from the spiral sculpture tower).  This would be designed by a sculptor that the LMDC would choose but will include representations of heroes such as a firefighter, police officer, construction worker, steel worker, engineer, emergency medical person, psychologist, relief organization member, medical examiner worker, recovery technician, and a volunteer.  An eagle will sit on the shoulder or arm of one of the heroes to represent freedom including the election to help even though freedom would have allowed the heroes to elect otherwise.  A canine with fireproof booties will be present to recognize the working animal heroes.

Landscaping selection will be coordinated by experts (chosen by the LMDC) in this field, keeping in mind concepts such as appearance throughout all seasons, aesthetics, height, and longevity of selections.  Tower footprints will be demarcated by trees and/or other landscaping (referring to footprint areas which are not already demarcated by perimeter walls).  Landscaping selections generally should encourage a feeling of peace and tranquility.
